Wind Farm Data Analyst

Boxkite is expanding!  We have an opening at our award-winning renewables startup.

We’re building datasets of real wind farm performance in all corners of the world, to refine and improve our simulation with real-world data.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic problem solver with an eye for interpreting data.

Beyond that, we’d love to hear from people with some of the following skills or interests, in no particular order:

  • Passionate about the low carbon energy transition.
  • Familiarity with Python, and data libraries like pandas/geopandas, json, requests, numpy etc..
  • An ‘I’ll figure that out somehow’ attitude to new opportunities.
  • Comfortable in a small, flexible and growing team, with changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Some professional/commercial experience post-university – wind / solar / energy industry particularly relevant but not essential.
  • Some diverse and interesting skillsets that we don’t have.

We offer flexible working arrangements, and all applications are welcome. We also have a hybrid approach to working; our preference is that you’re located within a commutable distance of either Bristol or Glasgow so that we’re able to interact and collaborate in person when needed. We don’t like to mandate the split between office and home – this can be discussed and agreed during the interview process or with your line manager.

The expected salary band for this role is £30-£40k p.a. FTE, depending on your experience.

If you’d like to apply, please send us a CV and cover letter explaining why you’d like to join Boxkite to info@boxkite.eco. The application deadline is Friday 23rd August. We look forward to hearing from you!
